The bags come from a specialist local company called the Cotton Bag Co. based in Westbury, Wiltshire, UK. The team behind the company have have been focused on alternatives to plastic bags for over 20 years. The company uses eco-friendly azo-free/lead-free dyes to colour cotton material and eco-friendly water-based lead-free inks to print designs on the bags.

Over time your bag (being a nice natural colour) may get a bit dirty...if it does, here's some tips on how to clean it.

DO NOT MACHINE WASH
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY

SPOT CLEAN:
If you have a stain on your tote bag, the easiest way to clean it is just with a spot clean.
Use a stain removing spray and just follow the directions on the bottle.
If you don’t have a stain remover, great alternatives are baking soda mixed with a little bit of washing-up liquid to create a paste which you can apply, leave for a short while and then rinse off.

Always avoid the print if possible.

Rinse with cold water and then air dry.

HAND WASH:
If your whole bag needs a bit of a wash then we advise hand-washing it using cold water and a mild detergent.

Don't let it soak.

Just use a gentle scrub for any marks and try to avoid the print if possible as this can affect the colour and print if you scrub too hard!

Rinse in cold water and then air dry it.
